2012 World Book and Copyright Day

World Book and Copyright Day is coming up (April 23rd, 2012) and local publisher Paperworth Books has a great idea to help you celebrate.  They want to get as many people as they can to give out at least 5,000 Nigerian books to everyone their community.
What you do is purchase copies of any of the following Nigerian novels and children’s books:
Then, on Monday, April 23rd give out a book to everyone you can think of. And when we say everyone, we mean everyone! So your parents, children, relatives, friends, neighbours, colleagues, employees, bosses, customers – you name it.

It won’t break your bank: the average children’s book won’t cost more than N500 and the adult titles are no more than N1,500 each. You can pick up copies of any of these books in stores all over Nigeria or you can email paperworthbooks@gmail.com for information about local stockists and discounts on bulk orders.
World Book and Copyright Day was designated by UNESCO to promote reading, publishing and the protection of intellectual property through copyright all over the world and we want Nigerians to make their mark. So tell your family and friends about this initiative; get them to buy a book and tell others about it too.

We can do this!
